Occasional Bulletin is sad to report the death of Rev. Dr. Alexander N. MacLeod(毛克禮),, Former missionary to China and Taiwan under the American Presbyterian Mission. Rev. MacLeod died on September 8, 1994 in Toronto. He was 92. Rev. MacLeod’s wife, Dorothy MacLeod, with whom he served as missionary for more than four decades, had died a month and half before on July 22, 1994.

The Rev. and Mrs. Alexander N. MacLeod were lifelong missionaries sent by the American Presbyterian Mission to East Asia. They had first served in China for more than two decades before coming to Taiwan for twenty more years. In Taiwan, the two had been assigned to the Christian Center for U.S. Service Personnel and Taiwan Theological College(台灣神學院), where they served for nearly 15 years. After they retired the two stayed on for another three years serving at the China Evangelical Seminary(中華福音神學院) in Taipei.  Before his death Rev. MacLeod was a member of Knox Church in Toronto, Canada. He is survived by a son, Rev. A Donald MacLeod, of Newton Presbyterian Church, Boston.

OB is sad but honored to report the death of Dorothy MacLeod, wife of Rev. Alexander MacLeod, of Willowdale, Ontario, Canada. Dorothy MacLeod died on July 22, 1994, three days after her ninety-third birthday. 

Mrs MacLeod and her husband Alexander were God’s loyal servants for most of their lives, including 43 years as overseas missionaries. Sent by the American Presbyterian Mission, they served first in China, then in Taiwan. In Taiwan they had served at the Christian Center for U.S. Service Personnel and Taiwan Theological College (台灣神學院) for about 15 years. They retired in 1971 the husband and wife went on to work for three more years at China Evangelical Seminary(中華福音神學院) in Taipei. 

Dorothy MacLeod is survived by her husband, a son, a brother, and several nephews and nieces. May God bring peace to the family.
